Personal Background

Calvin Kam is a proud, native San Franciscan and was raised in the Sunset district where he currently lives. He attended middle school at St. Anne's of the Sunset and completed high school at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. Real estate has always been a vital part of his education. His mother, May Kam, was a prominent real estate agent for Coldwell Banker for almost 30 years. While in high school, he worked as an assistant under her tutelage at his current brokerage, Coldwell Banker Lakeside. His family has also been involved in property management for over 25 years. In his spare time, Calvin enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, going to the gym, biking, taking hikes with his dogs, and taking day trips to all the wonderful Bay Area destinations.

Education and Training

After high school, Calvin moved away from the urban lifestyle while attending the University of California at Davis where he obtained a B.A. in Communication with a minor emphasis in Chinese history.

Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, he worked at Re/Max Gold in Sacramento as a valuation coordinator. His responsibilities included processing over a hundred broker price opinions a month for numerous lenders, securing and managing foreclosed properties, negotiating with various vendors for repairs on homes, completing monthly marketing and status reports on each asset, and creating statistical reports based on quarterly sales, market share, and countywide economic trends. He significantly increased revenue by implementing a second-opinion BPO division.

Areas of Expertise

Calvin specializes in sales of residential buildings of one-to-four units, condominiums, foreclosures, short sales, trust sales, and probate sales. He is well versed in property management and has an extensive list of professionals that have assisted his clients in home improvement/repairs, inspections, legal advice, and tax advice.

Communities I Serve

In his position, he will serve the needs of buyers and sellers in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Calvin is an active member of the community and volunteers his time at organizations such as Glide Memorial Church and St. Anthony’s Foundation. Whether it is serving food lines, preparing bag lunches, or sorting toys for the holidays, he is happy to give back to the city that raised him.

Business Philosophy

"I believe all my clients deserve the utmost professionalism, integrity, timeliness, and accountability from me in everything I do. My business is helping you get what you want, in the time you want.
